Editorial
As usual for the autumn edition quite a number of pages are devoted to our own annual show, reports and the full results, it is after all the Society's showcase and for many of our members and the committee the culmination of a year's work. In Spring there is always the worry whether we will have enough entries to live up to our reputation of staging a great show. However, when it came to the crunch, our members did the Society proud by ensuring we had once again an excellent show. The participation of all exhibitors was much appreciated, as was all the efforts by the committee members and other helpers. The increase in the number of exhibits proved it was a sensible decision to try to move with the times and make changes. The Committee will endeavour to iron out all minor inherited anomalies this winter. I overheard quite a few people discussing how they could improve their efforts next year. Yes, that is the spirit, if we all strive to improve just a little each year, the future of our show will be in good hands! What about our magazine? Editors everywhere complain of the lack of material put forward by their members. I am no exception in being disappointed that not more members of our own Society are willing to make contributions. However, I also am assured that you do appreciate having a substantial club newsletter. So once again I have 'shopped around'! I think I managed to supplement our own material with a fine variety of 'borrowed' articles from other sources (with our most grateful thanks to our kind fuchsia friends of course) to offer you once again a jolly good read.
It seems a trifle early, but by the time you receive the next edition it will all have been over and done with, so Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
